Life in Lille France as an international student

I landed in Paris, and it was raining. Now I am writing this piece, and it's still raining outside right now.

This is the Weather of Europe.

Don't worry, your umbrella and raincoat will be your best friends: you will forget everything, but you will never forget your umbrella and raincoat in Europe. If you are coming from Pakistan, buy an umbrella for 1K; otherwise, here you have to buy it for almost 11 euros LOLXX

France is like Home now, Lille was my city for the first 5 months, and I love that city. You will not feel very strange here; you will find all the Asian stuff in supermarkets. Bro, for Muslim students, just take the M2 and go to the Fives station, you will forget your home street markets. They have a lot of stuff for Muslims. On Saturday and Sunday, there is a flea market where you will find a variety of things. If you are in Lille and you are Pakistani or Indian, don't forget to eat aloo and keema paratha. That is really amazing, you will relate to your home at that time.

Winter is going to be crazy with heavy rain and snowfall. No worries at all because they have good heating systems in schools and residences as well. Still, there will be stiffness in your body, and you will get the flu, so keep a lot of Panadol with you. Because their medicine didn't work for us. If you need a doctor, go to the nearest hospital. Don't forget to apply for the social security for free checkups and medicine.

If you are a student of the University of Lille or a faculty you should apply for the 6 euro basket. Every month, they have a 6-euro basket distribution. Your euros will get you a lot of things for a month. When you get it, you will have it easy for the whole month. They accept cash, not online payment. Location is the main campus, near the main library. Please take a small or a big suitcase for food collection.

Transport is good, with a good metro and bus system. You have to buy a monthly card or a daily ticket. I think it's better to get a monthly card. Lille is a big city, so it's worth it.

There are a lot of supermarkets. Carrefour is the best one among them. You will find Jalabee as well.

Bye, stay tuned for more..
