Media is very advanced today with a lot of applications, techniques, and other devices. These all facilities help people to freely get knowledge from social apps and media. Media has many characteristics which are very interesting today.

Media is digital today all the information is stored in codes. The qualitative information is also converted into codes that are used in the future. Digitalization allows so much information to be stored in compact hard disks or micro memory cards and it is also what allows for the nearly instantaneous transmission of information via cable and satellite. Digitalization is a very interesting and unique feature of media today. The one mobile phone contains all the applications including videography, photography, searching engines, and social media apps. The Digital system is very easy to understand by all age groups from children to senior citizens. The LEDs and the billboards are very digital and contain coloring effects and amazing applications to transmit pictures and videos. Digital media can come in a wide range of forms varying from simple audio to a fully immersive, interactive environment such as a video game. Television which the user can interact to suit his/her viewing needs is known as interactive television. It combines communication. television and computer technologies.  The act of changing channels can be called interactive TV since the user is changing the content to view what he/she wants. However, what is known is interactive TV is different. It allows viewers to have greater control over what they watch. For example, during a football match, a viewer can choose to view different camera angles to focus on different players or to watch the game from a different perspective. Digital media is stored on digital storage devices such as Hard Drives and Flash storage. This has allowed huge amounts of data to be stored in a small place with no risk of damage to the data provided that the medium in which the data is stored is not mistreated. An example: In the past, photos were printed on Paper. 

Media is also analog when we talk about the newspaper, journals, magazines, and tapes of old videos. This is usually a past media but newspaper is also in trend today. The newspaper industry is still publishing millions of newspapers per day.

Another characteristic of media is interaction. Interactive media refers to digital media that depends on the customer’s participation. This digital media is usually a mixture of computerized elements such as moving graphics, digital text, and sound. In our technology driven world, interactive media surrounds everything we do. If you unlock your phone interactive media is likely to be the first thing you see on your screen. Your go-to gaming app is the perfect example of interactive media at your fingertips – app developers combine exciting moving images with digital environments and complementary backing tracks to provide a captivating interactive experience. Training videos are videos used by companies to provide situational demonstrations in an interactive space to train staff in the company’s practices. These training videos are often accessible on the company’s e-learning platform.

Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and governments of different nations, a process driven by international trade and investment and aided by information technology. This process has effects on the environment, on culture, on political systems, on economic development and prosperity, and human physical well-being in societies around the world. Media has a magical role in bringing sports in Infront of the whole world. The sports industry earns millions of dollars through different events. Media is helping to circulate in the world. As we are living in the global era, where international media has brought a revolution. New professions that emerged in the process include those of a coach, physician, manager, and so on. The amateur movement started being replaced by professional sports and athletes moved on from being amateurs to professionals practicing sports for a profit. Any sport can now attract players or audiences in any part of the globe, and yet conventional wisdom suggests that as an activity takes on global stature, it becomes more controlled and competitive, disconnecting from local origins. Throughout the first decade of the twenty-first century, the scale, scope, and speed of globalization and its influence on the social and cultural realities of sport have been unremitting and profound. Sport under modernity has moved 5 from the local organization around shared enthusiasms to global media sport, which is fashioned by transnational corporate interests of governing bodies, sponsors, and media organizations.

The sport being a part of the universal culture is an important instrument of combining different people in the world. It is an activity that contributes to world peace. It can be defined as a totality of activities realized to affect positive social and moral benefits as well as physical benefits. The sport has not a stereotyped classic definition, but many different definitions.
