If we will go through the sports history, games were introduced for peace in the region but today there is a lot of mess in the sports. All level sports men from national to international shows unethical behaviors in different games. Today sports image is not transparent because of doping, unfair results and match fixing. Apart from this the personal behaviors of sportsmen also damage the image of sports today. Aggression is one of the psychological factor which will some time boost the players performance but the aggression type instrumental aggression will hurt the opposite athletes.

Aggression in sports is the athletes behavior towards the game or the opposite athletes. In sports aggression can be part of sports if athletes will use that aggression in positive way. Those players who perform best when they are aggressive is beneficial while those who become more violent when they are aggressive should use the ways to remove their aggression.

Aggression is of many types like hostile and instrumental aggression. If we will talk about the instrumental aggression its all about to harm the opposite player to win the game. There is no intention to harm the other players but their aim is to win the game. This is a planned aggression mostly the sports coaches themselves help the athletes to hurt the players of opposite team to win the game. Mostly the Asian players are involve in this act, they train their athletes physically but they also give the ideas about the aggression while playing the tournament to hurt the opposite players. The international sports governing bodies today are quit strict about this act when they will catch the players while doing these acts they will penalized the athletes, then athletes will suspend from the games. In this way the coaches usually harm the careers of many players in the time. There are many contact sports like football, hockey and ice hockey where players can easily hurt each other so the Asian coaches get more benefits from these sports. They plan a lot of strategies to hurt the players in any case during the play to win the game title.

Coaches want to win the title of the game so they plan different unethical strategies for players to act during game to get the higher levels. For example charging in hockey is one of the plan of coaches to distract the player and leave the ball for opposite player to play.

Coaches want to achieve the goals they have set for their team. They are not concern with the players careers so they tell their players to do any of the act to win the game. Instrumental aggression is just because of coaches and federations.

Coaches especially want their players to harm the best players of opposite team , because when they will injure the best players of opposite team their team will easily win the game. There are many examples of instrumental aggression in sports like football, hockey and ice-hockey.

Today there is a lot of politics in sports. The political parties are also involve in national and international events. The coaches have relations with political parties and they will try to win the game for more political support. The athletes will show the instrumental aggression to win the game. This is very common now adays but coaches still support their players to behave in this way to get more political parties supports.

Media attraction today is very compulsory for the athletes, teams and coaches to improve their positions. Coaches wants to get the media attraction through winning the tournaments. Media helps every one to become hero within minutes so the coaches will win the game in any way to get introduced in all forms of media. The tv channels will cover the interviews of winning team coaches.

There are many tournaments which have winning prizes. Even the top leagues have millions of rewards and other future opportunities so coaches wants to earn all money. They want to avail all the future opportunities which will give to the whole team including the coaches.  

Coaches will try to win the games for more sponsorships from the top brands in the Asia. This will help them to generate more money trough promotions of the top brands. When the team of coaches will win the games the brands will collaborate with them to promote their new arrivals.

Coaches wants to get appreciation from the sports federation. When they  will get the winning title surely the federation will appreciate the coach for their players performance during the games.

Coaches also wants to get promotions from junior to senior coach and to get more salaries through different game titles. So winning the games through different unethical behavior will help coaches to get promotions in their careers.

Whenever coaches wanted to work with any top class club they will try to win all the games and make their CV very strong. This will help coaches to get jobs in the top clubs. For this the coaches will plan the strategies and unethical acts which will be implemented by the players during the game.

So overall the aggression is not positive sign in players when it’s a instrumental aggression. Instrumental aggression is not the personal behavior of an athlete. There is no intention of athletes to harm the other athletes. There is no any personal clashes among the player. In this case the sports federations and the coaches will plan the unethical strategies to harm the opposite players to win the event at any cost.
